لم أكتب مباشرة عن مأساتنا هذه، فما الذي يمكنني أن أكتبه وقد مزّقت تلك المشاهد قلبي، فأنهمرت الدموع لتعمي عينيّ طوال اليوم، كيف لي أن أكتب في حينها، وقد جفّت كلّ الكلمات وأشعل الغضب المتبقّي منها. كان لمقالي أن يكون لعنة كاهن نهريني يصبّها على الغزاة البرابرة وهم ينتهكون قدس أقداسه ويحطّمون تراثه أمام عينيه، وما كانت تلك اللعنات لتشفي غليل أيّ مواطن…
